Steps for better business

Endless opportunities: The broadest portfolio with smartHearing Technology.

From fitness trackers to phones, more and more patients want smart, wearable devices. For us, it’s nothing new ― we’ve been incorporating advanced technology into wearable devices from the beginning. Today, we’re continuing that tradition with a comprehensive range of intelligent hearing aids.

Our smart hearing aids give your patients a combination of excellent sound fidelity, comfort, and convenience. With smartSound, the hearing aids work as a pair to replicate the natural hearing processes and deliver a binaural experience so good that in difficult listening situations wearers can understand speech better than people with normal hearing.* smartAdapt senses the hearing situation, adjusts, and synchronizes the hearing aids automatically to the wearer’s individual preference. And with smartConnect, the hearing aids can be connected to remote devices for superior audio streaming, as well as for discreet and convenient adjustments.

We call it smartHearing.

The three elements of smartHearing:

The hearing aids can wirelessly connect to electronic devices for discreet hearing options and control.

Technological basis:

e2e wireless 2.0 for audio streaming and synchronization of user controls. Provides wireless connectivity for streaming audio directly into wearer’s ears and controlling their hearing aids via their smartphone.

Bilateral synchronization of user controls (push button, VC), audio streaming via the easyTek™ and easyTek™ App, remote control option via the touchControl™ App.

Example: 1) Audio streaming via easyTek; 2) Remote control option via touchControl App

Both hearing aids are synchronized to work as a single system and determine the listening situation the wearer is in, adjusting themselves for greater personal comfort.

Technological basis:

e2e wireless 2.0 for exchange of control data

Situation detection, learning, sound equalizer, SpeechFocus

Example: Speech Focus

Replicates natural hearing processes to suppress unwanted background sounds and improve spatial perception for outstanding sound quality. In certain challenging listening situations, it allows wearers to understand speech even better than their normal-hearing counterparts.*

Technological basis:

e2e wireless™ 3.0 for the exchange of microphone data in a bilateral setup to enable binaural signal processing.

Narrow directionality, binaural OneMic directionality, spatial SpeechFocus™, eWindScreen™ binaural

Example: Narrow directionality

* Two clinical studies have shown that binax provides better than normal hearing in certain demanding environments (University of Northern Colorado, 2014; Oldenburg Hörzentrum, 2013): Speech Reception Thresholds (SRT) in cocktail-party situations improved up to 2.9 dB for wearers with mild to moderate hearing loss using Carat binax or Pure binax hearing aids with narrow directionality, compared to people with normal hearing.
