Is Teen Hearing Loss on the Rise?

According to recent study, the answer could be yes.

In May 2014, we commissioned a third-party research company to survey 500 teenagers ages 13–19 across the U.S. The results were alarming:

  • Nearly half (46%) of teens surveyed showed potential signs of hearing loss
  • One in six teenagers are showing symptoms often or all the time
  • Teens are not taking necessary precautions to reduce the risk of hearing damage

The link between teen behavior and the early onset of noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) is too great to ignore. Could you or a teen you care about be at risk?
